Private Lessons
My goal as a teacher is to produce expressive, technically proficient and literate musicians. To achieve this I emphasize improvisational skills, develop both rudimental and performance based techniques and, I simultaneously introduce written musical notation. During lessons I also establish simple practice methods and introduce protocols so that the student can effectively practice in the absence of a guide. Let’s face it, learning to play an instrument takes dedication and hard work, however most of us began playing and continue to play primarily because we enjoy it. That is why it is important to balance the fundamentals with “fun” exercises and repertoire. Lessons provide students with the skills and knowledge to perform, improvise and learn repertoire on their own. Students are mentored according to their individual needs and goals.

Music for Dancers
Music for Dancers is a program that I created, which is designed to educate and develop musicality in dancers. It is a practical introduction to fundamental music performance, composition and theory and it is geared specifically towards dance communities. Participants will demonstrate a basic ability to conceptualize, perform and compose music for accompanying dance. Instructors and choreographers may also find this course useful for harnessing communicative and demonstrative skills for relaying their musical preferences and ideas to musicians. No prior musical background is necessary but this program may also interest participants who are somewhat familiar with musical structures and play an instrument.
