Jay Sussman is a Toronto based freelance music composer, performer, educator and accompanist. He produces content for media related purposes, for live and studio projects and as a music educator he offers both private lessons and music training workshops for dancers.

Jay has received international acclaim as a Canadian artist. He has performed in Tokyo Japan, New York City, New Orleans Louisiana and Austin Texas. Jay has also toured East and West coast Canada. Currently, he maintains a steady schedule of performances with various ensembles in and around Toronto.

Jay has been composing and producing music since 2000. This has included music for film and television, videogames and for small ensembles, advertisements, songwriting and for pleasure.

"I have always maintained a passion for education and I continue to receive a great satisfaction from sharing my knowledge, skills and talents. Over the past 15 years, I have honed an ability to help others identify, develop and achieve their musical goals. I have taught at York University, Cosmo School of Music and Long & McQuade. I have had the opportunity to help students of various skill levels and age groups and I have also prepared students wishing to pursue post-secondary educations in music. Most recently I have been focusing on developing "Music for Dancers" which is a progressive method for presenting and teaching music fundamentals to dancers."
